Summary of 2009

So there goes 11month of 2009.

Before we hit the 31st, here's the summary of my 2009.

I've finished school.

I no longer wear a uniform everyday,

I stayed at home longer than ever(since i entered a boarding school in 2004)

I got my probatory driving license,

Me and Zahid entered IBS,

I met the Kolej Tun Datu Tuanku Hj Bujang people,

I met Jeo Jeo and friends.

I hit a car at a junction

I made a decision on my career path,

I went for Shell interview and failed,

I went for Yayasan Tun Razak Interview and failed,

I went for MARA interview (during the time when Yayasan TR programme which I failed the interview) and success,

I had learnt that program in UK is spelled as programme , double m and an e

I entered MARA College Banting,

The International Baccalaureate is a 2 years programme

I now have a room in a building placed strategically in an oil palm plantation

I met new friends,

I had learnt that Math in its purest form is incomprehensible,

I had learnt that, however with hard work and practice, its not that hard, kan? :)

I no longer study physics,

I heard engineering students talking about quantum mech. and the relation between speed of light and Einstein's theory (I feel so lucky i didn't learn physics no more)

I had learnt that, an atom have suborbitals,

I love Biology

I love economics too - hye Adam Smith and oh,,Matt McGee

I had learnt that English is so much fun when u can swear,

I had known that frisbee is also played among humans,

Im trying to love softball,

Im learning tennis

I have despised soccer,

Im a mac

I had learnt that self-esteem is mainly built on the things : the quality of relationship with another people and how your presence affect them.

I no longer played with l.o.v.e

I want to be a better person

I want to be a better friend,

A better student,

A better learner,

A better listener,

A better company,

A better me,

A better family member,

I want to be the best of myself,

I want to be a better Muslim.

I had discovered myself,

I had met wonderful people,

and amazing personage.

English- Talk craps. Read a lot. Surf the net. and Text. haha
Economics- Draw numerous lines of Supply and Demand. and do the homework. Read the text.and do notes.
Biology-Do notes
Chemistry-Do notes and do not sleep. Try to understand while ur in class and when teacher is around.
Statistics-Be punctual, wipe the whiteboard clean and shut up and dont utter stupid words.
The Theory of Knowledge- Sit back and think and argue.

A mixed feelings

I am scared.

"A" school was quarantined 2 days before. Student are not allowed to make physical contact with outsider.So they can't go out. Although a few had escaped yesterday. The ministry of health had just released 10 hound dogs to search and destroy the vector.

The situation is getting worse, when bushfire ignited by local tribesman caused several hotspot and shorten the visibility of fellow citizen. Be aware the citizen of M city. The paranoid superpower of this country may sterilised you all by any mean necessary.This will include usage of nuke, a lake of Clorox to bleach the city. Not to mention sinking the whole island into the darkness of the sea.

Stop complaining la..

A (usually) 2 year diploma programme of education infinately better and better established than A Levels. Consists of 6 chosen topics from groups, along with the compulsory 150+ hours of CAS (Creativity, Action, Service), 4000 word Extended Essay and a Theory of Knowledge essay and presentation. Each topic is marked from 1 - 7, with an extra 3 points being added for performance in CAS, TOK and EE, with a total of 45 points achievable. Considered Hellish and extremely difficult for some, others (myself included) really appreciate it. It Challenges you, and can either encourage you to become really organised or really lazy. May lead to extensive Procrastination (world of warcraft in extreme cases) and lack of a social life. Or alcohol abuse, depending on how you cope with stress. Good points are that it is an internationally recognised qualification, and is equivalent to up to 7 'A' Grades at A level, and some higher level subjects (Sciences and Maths for example) are considered so advanced, that certain University's view them as almost degree level. Another good point is that it can give you the opportunity to meet people from all over the world (especially at international schools) and can definately broaden your horizons. And it teaches you bullshit oh so effectively. Lying becomes a way of life, sleeping becomes a luxury, Relentless and Pro Plus become your Gods, and eating just isn't necessary. usual conversation between a normal kid and an International Baccalaureate student (over msn of course..) Kid: hey fancy going out tonight? IB Kid: I dont know, I still have 3999 words to write for my EE, I haven't even started my TOK presentation, I need to make up 139 hours of CAS, I've lost my GDC so i cant do this Chi Squared table for biology, I haven't eaten in 3 days, I can't remember the last time I slept and I have my Russian Oral tomorrow.. Kid: that was your excuse last week, what have you been doing?? IB Kid: I made a new rogue on a PVP server and pwnd some n00bs.

Medical Checkup! MARA Banting

This was on the 29th, last month.

I went to polyclinic in Tudan. No private, government officer only.
So, go to counter, pay about RM100.
Went for dental checkup.

And the dentist said this:

sound, oops..decayed."

Pergh..no wonder, 3 years haven't go for dental checkup.

Then go to Bilik no. 6.

"You sign this, no need to fill up ur name, just your I.C. Well, HIV test is confidential"

Then, in the lab:

"So, kakak, the doctor said, I don't need to strip. true ma? U can check by taking my blood."

Man, I don't really care someone take 10ml of my blood, rather than go naked in front of a female doctor.

"Oh. I'll go and take it."

Then. 20 minutes later..

"Urine test result out, but not the blood test, not yet.

Then go to x-ray.

Lastly, the MA Room, Medical Assistance Room.

The ending was very surprising.....I thought the credit was about to role...and then come another 30 minutes of surprise.

And by the way...I can not think how the title, Angel and Demons relate with the storyline, the character, nor any of the incidence that happened i n the movie.Mind explaining to me?

For students from east Malaysia..

• Who are offered to PASUM or other IPTA, and they should go to K.L by 25th of May
  
• And at the same time have been interviewed by MARA.

And MARA mentioned that result will be out on the 3rd week of May.
So, IF MARA assume that this week is the second week, considering 1st May fall on Friday.

Thus the earliest date for the interview results to be announced will be on the 11th of May and the latest should be on the 16th of May.

The problem is...IF AND ONLY IF..

• You're parents and your family want to visit you during the upcoming 2 weeks long school holiday and celebrate Gawai in K.L.Who knows right..
• Other flight rearrangements, cancellation, etc that is to be made;

WILL have to be planned, rearranges or scheduled after the MARA results were announced.

IT CAN'T be that simple because:

• Flight delays, rearrangement MUST be made 2 weeks before departure date, plus RM65 for any changes in flight seat (departure date)
• The cost,....yes the big headache is a hole in your wallet. Its capitalism 101, more demand, low supply, high prices. The later you book, the higher the flight prices.
• Nobody know, if they were selected by MARA, when will they have to register, is it the same date as IPTA registration? Anybody?
  

WORST CASE SCENARIO: Nay....this week is the first week.

Suggestion?

• Just don't book your ticket first. Wait and wait...
• Oh, MARA,will you announce the results earlier, although JPA faces some problem announcing their results, it was a relief for many knowing the results earlier.

Three years since I went to Sambir, Asajaya. A lot of things had changed. Hye cousins.

Motorcycle riding is fun.No traffic.No helmets.Also no functioning speedometer and fuel indicator.Just engines and tyres.Told ya, very very exciting ride.

So, for future doctors and pharmacist applying for MARA loan, on the 13th of April will be the Judgment Day.

So, prepare your essay-300 hundred words, in English or B.Melayu.

Should former form 5 student, not entering any IPT yet, fill this section?
Because it asked about, Place Where You Study, What Course, Duration of Course,
or the questions are for Cadangan, so it mean the course we prefer to take, our future plan... anybody??

What you should prepare..
-Bring along your original certificate,
-Go to your former school, and asked them to certify your copies of cert.
-Ask for salary slip from your parents, and get them proved/certified by their employees.
-Book your ticket to Kuching!!
-Get a necktie, make a blazer, or borrow from your parent or your grand pa. But a long sleeve with a tie should be okay..do not overdress.
-Practice your English!! Try to talk in from of the mirror or before you go to sleep..

The solution: A virtual private network will encode your traffic and Screamyx will not be able to detect it.High data transfer rate, and you will not have to wait for a year. (120kb/s) average.

But, you have to pay tough. In Malaysia, consider BolehVPN (http://www.bolehvpn.net/).

If u so cheap, try a 3 days trial for RM5.

Ipod Dock Repaired

I don't know why and how, it just gone. If I have some spare time, I'll waste it by copy-and-pasting it to My Blog widget.

I also met Dinie and Syuhadah at Bintang Plaza today.

Anyway, I went to Optiprimus today to claim the Ipod Shuffle dock which I sent for repair last fortnight. Since the warranty is still valid, it's free of charge.

I think they did not repair it, they just replace it with a new one, but without the box.

Learning JAVA

In other countries, children aged 12 years old can perform a simple programming using JAVA or C++ language.

I think I'm not too old to start from now.

I bought this book from Popular yesterday. After that I went bowling with Zahid and the others from Kolej. I'm not good at bowling. Some of them bring their younger brothers and, I tell you they are very good at it, I mean their younger brothers. Many times better than us.

IBS College

Today is my last day in IBS college before I sit for the final exam on the 25th. I'm only a short course student there, taking Intensive English.

I improve a lot in my English together with my fellow Zahid. Mdam Sheila George and Miss Tang have helped us a lot. Also thanks to Siva, Andrew, Hee King Mee, Zaza, Fiza, Jennifer, Yong Mei Yi, Daniel and Karen, and Mr. Jamali and Mdam Kamsiah, also Dr. Antony Hii. Career Expo in Pustaka Miri

Choosing a career is not easy, I always have trouble filling up the blanks for 'Ambition' in my report cards.

When you know your SPM results, you'll be in dilemma choosing your path. Refer your English Literature books from the old day(if I may say so)- The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost and you'll understand what I mean.

Before I enter a career seminar at IBS college this late afternoon, I decided to treat myself with a novel, decided to buy it along time ago after reading it's review in TIME magazine.

The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga. I should finish reading it before this Tuesday.

Twelve get straight A and only one manage to get straight A1.

Never have thought that I get A2 for my Bahasa. I speak bahasa la..Its my mother tongue!! how come? Feel very happy also because my English is OK.
